The breakfast was the best I had in South Shields, perfect for early risers. Central location by a park, with pubs, bars, and restaurants nearby, making it a relaxing area.- Great-sized rooms and excellent service were highlights of my stay.

Great location with view to the sea and local park.
What was on offer for breakfast could have being better. Little choice. Bathroom ventilation did not work. There was obvious maintenance that needed to be done. At the time of writing sept 2022 the hotel was up for sale and looking for a buyer.

This was our first visit to South Shields and we were delighted with the location of the hotel. All the staff we met were outgoing and really friendly making us feel special.

Location with view of the beach,. Very friendly staff, perfect English breakfast, new furniture in the room. Free parking at the hotel parking lot.
In the annex the rooms are rather simple. In the main building, the painting work at the floor entrances is unprofessional. No air conditioning. . Photo of the hotel misleading
